Toussaint Louverture’s grandfather is said to be a Prince from Allada. His name was Gaou Guinou. During our many visits to the Palace of King Kpodegbe Toyi Djgla of Allada, Benin, the King would always mention that his Ancestor was Toussaint Louverture.
