On February 13, 2016 in the courtyard of the palace of the Sultan of Bamoun, Ibrahim Mbombo Njoya, the 546th edition of the Nguon festival was launched. The event was attended by notables and dignitaries from far and wide. The festival will take place in November 2016. The festival is a cultural event which dates back to the early 1000. It is now listed as a Unesco culture treasure. Roots to Glory Tours will be there in November to witness the traditions and culture of the Bamoun people.
