Voodoo Festival – Benin 2021

The Festival Vodoun is an annual festival which celebrates the culture and tradition of the traditional African religion. It is an event that attracts tourist from different countries and culture. In addition, there are many Diaspora Africans from Brazil, Haiti, Martinique, the Americas, Europe, Asia and more. In 2019, we are for the first time offering an opportunity to not only attend the Festival Vodoun but to also visit one of the largest Wildlife parks in West Africa, the Pendjari National Park located in North Western Benin. There are over 1,700 elephants who make the park their home. The animals are totally and completely in their natural element.

ITINERARY

DAY 1:  Arrival in Cotonou, Benin

              Check into Hotel

DAY 2: Porto Novo and Cotonou

DAY 3: Ganvie and Alladah Vodoun Festival Celebrations

DAY 4: Ouidah Vodoun Festival and continue to Abomey

              Overnight in Abomey

DAY 5: Visit the palaces of Abomey and then continue to Nattitingou

              Overnight at Natti

DAY 6/7: Leave Natti for the Pendjari National Park

DAY 8: Leave the park, visit the Tata Sombas and sleep in Natti

DAY 9: Return to Cotonou

              End of Tour

Payment plan is available. Please send an email to roots@rootstoglory.com. Payments must be completed by November 15, 2020. There is a deposit of $500 due on registration. The deposit or any additional payments made during registration are refundable within 30 days only. After the 30 days, there will be no refund. We strongly suggest you purchase travel insurance. Payment schedule is as follows: September 1, 2020 payment of $1600 is due. November 15, 2020 payment of $1600 is due. If you are getting a single room, a payments of $1800 due September 1, 2020 and $1800 due November 15, 2020.

If paying with credit card, there is a fee of 4%. 

There is moderate amount of walking on our tours. We do not recommend these tours if you have serious mobility issues. Before you book any of our tours, please consult with your physician to make sure you can get the yellow fever vaccine which is mandatory to enter Benin. You must have a valid passport within 2 months of registering for our tours.
